SPAIN WEEK: Leaf Peeping Friday!

Fall is in full effect with the colder weather daily touching the leaves of all tress and that means fall colors outside!  Time to go leaf peeping!

For those unfamiliar with the term, leaf peeping is the act of leaving your home with the sole purpose to look at the leaves on trees.  Usually, this act occurs when their colors change.

When I lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, I went on a leaf peeping train ride in Wilmington, Delaware, USA.  It was great because that was the first time I had visited Wilmington, DE and it gave me a chance to really see its less-traveled roads.

If you search for one near you home, you may find a bus or train ride that offers the same.  However, it's just as fun to hit the road yourself, pop in the old Lynrd Skynrd on your 8-track and rock on with the good tunes as you drive carefully while noticing the beautiful colors.

Today, you are very lucky!  In fact, we are both lucky!  We have to go to Pamplona, Spain, where the famous Running of the Bulls is held annually and on our drive there, we get to leaf peep the Basque countryside!

Prepare to be peeped!  Happy Friday!

Ahh yes.  Finally entering into Pamplona, Spain.

How do you know you are in Pamplona?  It says so on the building!

Granted it was a little early in the leaf peeping season and the colors weren't as dramatic as I'd hoped for them to be.  However, it was still a wonderful feeling to see the Basque countryside as the browns, yellows and reds began to replace all those brilliant greens.
